Combination of CE and UPLC-MS

Capillary electrophoresis (CE) and UPLC-MS provide a powerful orthogonal analytical approach for oligonucleotide characterisation. While UPLC-MS separates molecules based on chromatographic interactions and provides highly accurate mass confirmation, CE separates oligonucleotides according to their electrophoretic mobility and charge-to-size ratio.

Because the two techniques rely on fundamentally different separation mechanisms, they often reveal complementary information that may not be apparent using a single analytical method alone. Together, CE and UPLC-MS provide greater confidence in oligonucleotide identity, purity and product quality, making them particularly valuable for the analysis of challenging sequences and complex modifications.

Independent Oligonucleotide Analysis

Standalone Analysis Service
ATDBio also offers UPLC-MS analysis as a standalone service for customer-supplied oligonucleotides. Simply send your sample to us and we will provide a detailed UPLC-MS report, typically within one working day of receipt.

Modification Assessment
UPLC-MS can be used to verify the successful incorporation of oligonucleotide modifications. By synthesising test oligonucleotides containing the modification of interest, we can confirm successful incorporation and provide analytical data to support modification evaluation and product development
